If a hardworking bowler loses pace at 34 then a lazy one may lose it at 32, which Munaf actually was at that time. Shami has actually gained pace after 3 years, and that does not happen at 30. He should not be more than 27 or 28 but is one of those guys who looks older. he has also picked up an aweful lot of serious injuries....

He has only picked one injury that was knee injury and he had surgery for that. No other injury. That injury happened due to the kind of approach he had while running with long strides which put a lot of stress on his knees while landing. He has worked upon it now. Rightarmfast Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Are we introspecting too much on Shami? Coz I feel he is the best bowler from the subcontinent right now, especially after Amir fiasco in England.
CG Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Long way to go.He needs to be consistent in his performance particularly against likes of aus,nz,eng.
Silva Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 (edited) In test he was a dissapointment in England, and their have been a couple occasions where he has lost the plot in the 4th innings when india where in winning positions. Like the the 2nd test of this series and the first test in south africa. Edited August 15, 2016 by Silva Vilander 1
