sandeep Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 https://twitter.com/hashtag/TeamIndiaInUSA?src=hash Probably done at a player agent level. Some random mix of American sports "stars" from baseball, football, basketball, UFC tweeting directly at desi cricketers. I mean there's no way Ajinkya Rahane knows eff-all about the Mets pitcher with scandanavian roots. Just silly.
Vilander Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 lol there are some tweets from Cain Velasquez and GSP. Weird. I am 100% sure they think of cricket as some small insect..only.

Tibarn Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 They paid a bunch of no name American athletes, you think they could have gotten someone with at least somewhat of a global footprint like Lebron.

The tweets are clearly ghost-written. So fake in today's day and age. As far as "stars", there are some decent ones in there - I'm surprised Nike wasn't able to get more of its guys involved. Looks like most of the guys are repped by Relativity Sports Agency.

I looked these guys up: http://www.forbes.com/companies/relativity-sports/ , it looks like the agency represents some big American athletes. If BCCI wanted to promote this in America, there are a number of big athletes they could've paid. Looks like this was done more to impress the domestic market. Edit: They didn't even pay people to make sensible tweets https://twitter.com/TreyDeuce32RTR/status/769228119274168320 Edited August 27, 2016 by Tibarn Funny tweet
