Quality of umpiring in this series...

Was really good. Didn't see a single major blunder. 

to all of them.

Dharmsena,Bruce oxenford,kattleborough and tucker.. the best in the business.

There weren't many blunders in terms of dismissals. But there were many decisions which were given not out and debatable.

 

Umpires missed clear edge on to the boots and turned out caught appeal. That was strange. Bat was far from pads.

 

There were few more wrong decisions going in favor of batsmen.

A plumb lbw of Shami's bowling wasn't given by Oxenford. The other umpires were alright. Not particularly impressed by Oxenford.

Yeah, with that at least 3 decisions in this test match only. I don't have video, watched those live.

No ifs and buts. Get DRS in asap. Kohli should push for this.

Our BCCI babus want to save money and not implement DRS.

One thing I have noticed that they don't discuss umpiring decisions much in matches involving India. Earlier they used to show replays repeatedly, discuss it during breaks and all, but that has stopped in last few years. Maybe BCCI production team has specifically instructed them not to discuss umpiring decisions much.

 

This could be one reason why we may feel that overall it's going good.

And they got many really tough ones right.

Like I said earlier, this seems to be trend with matches not involving DRS. Tough ones being right decisions would include not out decisions most of the time. They are reluctant to give a batsman out if there is little bit of doubt in their mind which means they are deciding most of the not out scenarios correctly and missing out on some scenarios where batsmen are out.

And they don't discuss wrong decisions for long anymore. Earlier they used to show replays and mention it for whole match.
