In a sharp attack on Indian government’s demonetisation move, Steve Forbes, the Editor-in-Chief of Forbes magazine has gone all out and said, what they have done to the money is ‘sickening and immoral.

In an article written by Forbes in the magazine, he wrote about the government’s decision and called it a ‘massive theft of people’s property’. Forbes called the Indian bureaucracy to be ‘notorious’ for corruption, red tape and lethargy.

In the article, Forbes has given an overview on how the demonetisation move was carried out by the Indian government; about the cash crunch, ATM queues, and the increase in governmental control over lives.

"Don't make the honest suffer". With these observations, the Supreme Court bench comprising the Chief Justice of India has asked the government and the RBI to ponder some relief for some people who still hold old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes. The court gave two weeks' time to government and the central bank to consider options to provide a window for such individuals to deposit old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes.

This has been clearly seen since BJP government came. Adhar is shoved down the throats of people even if SC has clearly said it should not be mandatory. Adhar is a failed scheme due to improper implementation and is forced down to people without solving reservations about it. And then there are usual BJP things like cow vigilantism, ant Romeo squad etc.

Government figures suggest demonetisation wasn’t worth the trouble

What this also means that demonetisation by itself accounted for seizures that were considerably small compared to the seizures and the disclosures the Income Tax managed outside the period of demonetisation. Even if one deducts Rs.5,400 crore from Rs.71,941 crore, it would appear that money,“undisclosed income” unearthed by the government outside the demonetisation period was larger than during the period.

Our great IT department which catches on an average 2000 crore of black money per month was able to catch just addittional 1400 crores in 2 months of demonitisation.I still remember demo cheer leaders used  to post IT department seizing currency thinking that some kind of revolution was going on , only to find out now that mere 1400 crores extra was caught
