fineleg Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 (edited) Brave. HIGH price on his wicket. Weakness of short pitch balls, and other chinks (obviously only 19 yrs old - needs improvement). 8/10 But for his temperament and brave demeanor 9/10 Series over for him. But will play for Eng for quite some years. Edited November 29, 2016 by fineleg
Sidhoni Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Such maturity in a 19 year old on debut series away from home Will Root open now?
G_B_ Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 and you know he is 19. Cant fudge your age in England. Probably the best English bat in the series so far. Huge blow they lost him.
Unleashed Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 If he doesn't score 10k runs in his test career, then somewhere along the line English cricket has massively *ed up.
coffee_rules Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 The major blow in this series for Eng is Cook's form. The guy with 11k runs who is supposed to dethrone SRT, is being toyed around by Ashwin. He should be scoring daddy 100s like he did in 2012. He is getting old and reflexes are waning.

fineleg Posted November 29, 2016 Author Posted November 29, 2016 Lots of respekt from cricketers (comments) around the world for the rock solid defense, temperament, awareness of match situation of Hameed - at the young age of 19. Mohd Shami's bowling (fiery fast bowling by an Indian! on day 4 Indian pitch), and Hameed's fight towards the end are highlights of the day.
Vijy Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 An outstanding talent in Tests (and maybe later in ODIs too) - the next gen of batsmen (< 23) are already arriving. QDK, Hameed, etc. Remains to be seen who India's next great batsman will be.
