It was a specific question. Expected answer. I would have probably said the same if i were Virat.

In terms of consistency, Root is way ahead and rightly picked by Virat. Plus they know amd get to see them from up close while fielding at slip and that is also another way you judge the batsman. 

 

I honestly love watching Williamson but he needs to score more, show more consistency than what he did in India. He is a better batsman than that.
