I would say poor team selection in batting let West Zone down.  Jackson, Bhatt and Nayar poor selections. Should have had Shashank Singh, Shivam Dubey and Chirag Gandhi.

I just love the zonal games and  games involving India Red, Green, Blue, etc.

 

Much higher level of competition and lots of international type players.

 

Deodhar Trophy, Challenger Trophy and SMA Zonal league are the real domestic tournaments  for me.

Tall, hit the deck pacers who have been accurate too have been more difficult to hit.

 

Our national LOI team lacks such pacers apart from Pandya to some extent on the days he is accurate.
