Couple of odd things with Smith:

 

1. The DRS fiasco

2. Throwing Shaun Marsh under the bus.. He could be totally lying.. he may have said 'Go' off ..  (as in you are out and dont use DRS)

 

Never expected these from Smith let alone on the same day..

Out of curiosity though, how was Kohli able to say "I saw that two times happening when I was batting out there. I pointed it out to the umpire as well, that it's happened twice, that I've seen their players looking upstairs for confirmation, and that's why the umpire was at him." when there wasn't an appeal from the Australians (and therefore an opportunity to consider using DRS) whilst he was at the crease?

For that the review should have been taken this is about a review before the official review.

If handscomb suggested smith to look at the dressing room means its been going on for long time.

ICC needs to investigate this. If indeed Aussies have been doing it all the time what's the use of DRS? And how is this any different from ball/pitch tampering?

It isn't.  Which is why CA have doubled down and adopted the approach that PCB did when Inzamam forfeited that test.   Now they have to hope and pray that there's no incriminating video evidence.  Can't read too much into his statement, he had no choice but to defend his team.
