Pujara still has to show that he can do that overseas. There was a reason why Pujara was dropped few years ago(even though it wasn't fair to play Rohit ahead of him), because Pujara failed overseas after doing well in South Africa.

 

It goes without saying thst he is one of the best when playing at home. Away test cricket is a different ball game, something which Pujara can learn from Rahane and similarly something what Rahane can learn from Pujara when playing at home. 

 

Pujara is still just a decent bat for away games and he needs to score lot of runs away from home before being called the wall. Rahane is the wall when playing overseas for now.

I think you did not watch much of Dravid or used to shut-of your tv when Sachin used to get out.

Pujara has been a big disappointment actually.Needs to score big in next round of overseas tests to be reckoned in India's list of ATGs.I always had this skepticism about someone brought up on the pattas of Rajkot to be an all round great player.

Selectively pick stats from 1999 Aus, 2004 (Home tour of Aus), 2001 SA, 2006 SA, 2010 SA away tours of Aus and SA when bowling was greatish. His performance drops. I should say his performance drops drastically in these tours than compared to other ATGs. So, he is a Indian ATG not a World ATG.

Anyone who aversges over 50 or close to 52-53 is always going to be an ATG of the world, regardless of what attacks he faced.

 

You don't take into consideration that pretty much all world class players faced attacks which had one or two ordinary bowlers or bowlers not at their peak. 

 

And Dravid scored on 1998 South Africa tour which was pretty good bowling attack, Dravid scored on 2001 tour in South africa at Port Elizbeth and saved us the test match when we looked like losing. 

 

Also against England when all the greats were participating in 0-4 loss, Dravid scored against English attack which was a oretth good attack which had dominated many teams.

The OP  is about Pujara, in this test, he single handedly batted Aus out of the test and probably for the series.
