Kohli captaincy a lot to be desired

Kohli is hurt by Ashwin's form in this series. Otherwise, we would be 2-1, if not 3-0 in this series.  Ashwin is the backbone of home wins in the last 6 years. When he failed in 2012 Eng series, India lost 1-2.

Ashwin was below his career average even against England.

and its a more general question. Should kumble get more involved in Virats captaincy as he is a young guy?

 

I don't think the "Kohli is young and inexperienced captain" thing applies anymore to Kohli. At least not in test cricket. He is nearly 29 years old, he has played 50+ tests, and he has captained 25+ tests.
