Started today.

Djokovic the firm favourite (easy path to the final) followed by Federer.

Nole will be distracted by off-court stuff...Fed has a decent enough draw as well, time to make his move.

I heard the courts in W this year are the slowest in history? That players have said it doesn't even feel like playing on grass? If that's the case the tournament is in the bag for Djokodal.

Last Year's W Runner-up loses in straight sets to a clay court specialist. Says a lot about the court speed and conditions this year. Nadal and Djokovic are now favourites over Federer.

Do you guys think Federer has a chance against Nadal. He lost to the rampaging bull in straight sets in the French Open. If he loses the first set like he did against Nishikori, he will be up against it against Nadal. Nadal will pound him into retirement. This maybe the last time we will see Federer. Hope he wins the cup.

Excited about the Fed-Nadal game. Nadal won't be easy for Fed even on Grass with the way he is going, but he surely has a better chance here than on any surface to beat Nadal.

But the ongoing game of Agut and Joker is turning into a spectacle. Agut just pulled of 2nd set against Djoker.

The match doesn't even look like a Grass match. It's turning out to be a pushfest between Djokovic and Agut. If Agut goes through, he'll surely lose to Nadal/Federer.

I agree. I have that feeling too. Nadal has a real good chance of getting another grand slam here. Can't wait for the match to begin already.

Almost felt Nadal and Federer both did not put much fight in the sets they lost.

But still a cracking game. Good to see Federer getting a win over Nadal. Surface made so much difference. Nadal showed fight in the end but Federer as always a much superior player than Nadal on Grass.

Now I really hope he makes it count and win the final against Djoker, which will be equally tough.

Last two sets were of high quality. Federer's ground game, ROS were quite good. He was winning the longer rallies and baseline exchanges against Nadal. Federer certainly has sorted out the Nadal puzzle since 2014. Questions remains, can he solve the Djokovic puzzle? Djokovic knows how to play Federer exactly. His serve is better than Nadal, so is his movement, ROS, defense etc. He will be like a wall, less UEs, tough to crack etc. I just don't see Federer beating Djokovic at this age.

When two such players are playing against each other, the one who win key moments wins the match. Federer kept his calm and won those key moments. Great to see him playing another final. Hope he will win it

This was Nadal's best chance to beat Federer on Grass. Considering the surface is so slow, it's almost green clay, plus the balls , and Nadal's form coming into the match. But, since 2014, Nadal just hasn't been able to beat Fed and Nole off clay. Even on clay Nole can trouble Nadal. And , I believe the RG SF last month between Fed and Nadal would've been much closer had it not been too windy/adverse conditions. The serve was not working for Federer at all that day.

I accept that Djoko has better record against Federer. But this time I have a feeling that Federer will turn him down using all his experience

Yeah, was surprised with the slowness of court through our. Outside courts playing much faster than centre court surely.

Agree on Nadal, bur I still felt he gave Federer a good run here. Federer had to earn this win and as you can see, he did mention that it was one of the better games he played and won as Rafa was playing well.

Some of the rallies were outstanding by both. I think I kind of agree that this was Rafa’s better chance since he had this brilliant run in clay. But Querrey also did test him this last game.

Tough to pick between Federer and Djoker. Agut pulled of a set today of him, but I reckon we will see a more hungry Djokovic on Sunday. I feel federer to win in 5.

...because Djokovic is an experienced player?

Federer will have to serve perhaps the greatest he's ever done in his life to win. Off the ground based on their previous matches and their gamestyles Djokovic will control the match you'd think.

Bookies have Djokovic down as 6/4 and that too despite the noise around Federer's performance in the SF.

Not only that ,Federer would have to return the greatest he has ever done, especially against the Djokovic serve. His groundstrokes have to be consistent throughout the match with less UEs. His BP conversion must be above his normal standards. He cannot afford to choke in crucial moments. He has to be mentally and physically strong to compete with Novak for 5 sets. Plus the fact that the surface and balls make it very slower than usual for a Grass court. This favours Djokovic.  Federer probably has only a 20% chance of beating. I rate his chances that high because it's grass. His chances would be even lower if it ea another surface.

That is one of the worst finals Djokovic has played tactically and technically and yet somehow he managed to win it. Fed served amazing and was ultra aggressive and p[layed huge at times and he still came up short.

Awful, horrible , devastating. I have no words for this loss. Federer choked to the maximum. He had two match points on his Serve. Two of them. He was the better player throughout the match. This loss hurts Federer's legacy and jis career. His title as king of grass court is now disputed. I need a break from tennis. Now this will destroy Federer mentally. I don't know how he'll recover from this. Hell , even I can't recover.

I am in ruins, all over. Never been this dejected over a tennis result, no words really.

Worst loss ever. Career, legacy, everything a question mark now. Almost did the greatest achievement in tennis. Almost. So heartbreaking.

Nole played the worst major final in his career, second best throughout with 99% of the stadium treating it like a Swiss Davis Cup encounter, yet wtf was that? Fed doesn't deserve the GOAT tag after being such a mental midget. No GOAT in any sport is as unclutch as Fed especially in marquee encounters with top tier rivals. I regret the day I became a hardcore Fed fan, should never have been so much attached to him. Better to be a detached fan of the sport. This day will haunt me, can't imagine the effect it will have on Fed and his family/coaches.

Heartbreaking. But the tiebreak at 12-12 ruined it. Who knows what would've happened if the match went on.

Anyway need a break. Perhaps a long one. I don't think i can be interested in tennis as much as before again. And I don't think/see Federer coming back from this one. It's ironic Nadal used to be Federer's nemesis/pigeon and Djokovic used to be one of the favourable matchups for Federer, but now it's the other way around..out of all the chokes, the most have come when facing Djokovic.

Sure, but that TB rule is justified after last year's farce. Should have been brought into effect post Isner-Mahut clash. Anyway Fed had enough chances to close the match out, he is the only person to blame. Won't get a weaker version of Nole in another GS meeting...even the court conditions were perfect (I was wrong earlier), not very quick lest he has ROS/retrieving troubles but very low bounce at the same time.

If you manage to sort your head out please let me know and give some tips, yesterday was brutal. I won't be able to watch another Fed (maybe even tennis unless Rafa is losing) match, not after this. SW19 2008, AO 2009, USO 2009/10/11/15 suddenly look so much more tolerable. The Serb is well on his way to seal the GOAT status in 2 years time.

@Muloghonto did you watch this mega choke? How are you coping as a Fed fan?

@Dil Dil India @Cricketics ki haal chaal hai bhai log?

I didn't watch the WC F once the tennis started, big regret :((. To say that I am in utter ruins will be a huge understatement, 40-15 on his serve, championship point, next 4 points , stuff of nightmares :wall:.
