Who do you think will be the Man of the match and Man of the series ? By all indications, MoM will be Anil Kumble, for his 100 and whatever wickets he manages to pick up in the rest of the match. MoS is a bit more interesting. Among the batters Karthik . Sachin , Dhoni , Laxman , Jaffer and Ganguly have contributed. So , the judge would find it difficult to single one person out and give it to him. My money , would therefore be on Zaheer Khan then. Zak has done brilliantly on what was essentially a comeback series for him.

Could it be more obvious ? Man of the series; Zaheer Khan for his 17 wickets @ 18 (could still improve on these figures tomorrow or on the day after). Bowled India to victory at Trent Bridge, another clinical performance today. Best bowler on either side by a country mile. No contest. Man of the match; Kumble. A couple more wickets (i have no doubt he will take another 3, at the very least) to go with that neat 110 not out and it will be his to keep. Impossible to top a solid all-round performance like that

Actually MOM is a bit tough here, I seriously feel it should goto Tendulkar He basically held the innings at a crucial point. and that wonder ball to get of pietersen

Zaheer definitely is the top MoS candidate. Karthik would be the next inline. If Zakky gets a 5-fer in the next innings he deserves the MoM as well.

i am pretty sure that zak will get MoS and Kumble should get the MoM ... generally these awards go to winning team players and not others.
