So many of the same guys were properly abusing her and the team (not criticizing) for being more focused on making reels or BCCI wasting money ob them after we lost three close games to Aus, SA and England. Some of the abuses to the same cricketers is still there in the Women's world cup thread. Was amusing then to see 'told you so' posts after the win though.

They nearly did that in the group stage. Took a special knock by Nandine De Clerk for SA to win. Plus we were missing the 6th bowling option. Now the balance is appropriate.

These are absolutely flat patta pitches. Scores of 330 and 341 vs a much superior Aussie attack shows that. Plus defending is difficult due to late afternoon start. One area we definitely have to improve is fielding, we have been the first fielding and catching unit among the top teams.

How calm was Amanjot Kaur, walked in, did the job, walked off. Absolutely incredible to see such ice cool temperament at such big stage.

The greatest ever WC knock out match for me given the giants Aus Women's team have been and our own history of chases in WCs. Yes That DY Patil crowd deserves Kudos as well. Not once did they stop cheering the team on.

Both Suthar and Kotian have been bowling super flat, need to toss it up a bit. Suthar is trying the dream delivery getting it to turn from legstump and Kotian is just bowling flat at the stumps. Not much flight.

How can you ignore someone scoring 700+ FC runs at the beginning of the season. Patidar has earned his place. A team shouldn't just be about who can be groomed for the National Side. Duleep Trophy, Rest of India and A squads should always be a mix of India potentials, strong doesmtic performers and high potential youngsters

The guy has been in Mumbai cricket circuit since he was 10-11 year old. Look at his pics from 2013 when he was 14 and smashed a then school record score. Looked younger than 14 with a baby face. There is a pic from 2011 WC final of him with Arjun Tendulkar. Both look proper 10-11 year olds

Shaw should take inspiration from Rohit and Sarfaraz. Rohit has been a mentor to him and Sarfaraz is a childhood friend. Let them be his closest advisors if he still has any ambition to play for India. At just 25, he has age on his side. Will need monstrous domestic seasons (which he is quite capable of) and a clear demonstration he's moved away from distractions and bad habits. Great domestic season -> IPL mini auction and good IPL season -> A team + county performances -> one more more good domestic season including Duleep and Irani trophies is his pathway to the national side over the next 15-18 months

Normal course of action in spleen injuries to prevent any immediate though small risks of sudden internal bleeding. Likely stitching of the internal wounds as reports are calling it a minor surgery and that Shreyas is eating home cooked food. The most important part is he is able to do daily chores on his own, shows the recovery is going well

Yes Parag deserves a run. Tilak and Rinku should be two other contenders. KL can move to 4. No top order batsmen please. I just hope they don't push Pant into the ODI team after the tests.

What is with all these players and their sense of entitlement and saying things publicly. Shami , despite being out of shape, feels he should be in National team, Rahane feels he should have played BGT, now Karun, despite being a flop on England tour, wants more chances. Karun should be grateful for the chance he got, not one but 4 tests. And then to come out and say I deserved more. Sorry, you burnt your chances and the clock restarts from this Ranji season. What you did two seasons doesn't count for much any longer.

In all likelihood Aussies will roll out pattas. Their batting will be cooked on pitches they gave us. Collectively a bowling attack of Jofra, three out of Atkinson/Potts Wood/Carse/Tongue + Stokes is way more stronger than our bowling attack earlier in the year.

Massive blow. Boland will be less impactful in Cummins' absence. Spicy pitches likely to backfire as well. England have a very potent bowling attack in Jofra, Atkinson, Wood, Carse, Potts, and Tongue. A 36-yr old and a 37-yr leading the Aussie bowling attack , things could go really bad.

I remember @vvvslaxman had pointed out that Cheeka talks randomly on his YouTube and his harsh comments should not be taken that seriously. Good on Cheeka to offer wholesome praise for Rana. Shows he did not mean any malice.

Poor Puneet Issar gets blamed for the injury Amitabh suffered. But Amitabh actually landed on the edge of a table during a fight scene and that caused the spleen injury. He had no pulse when he was rushed to a hospital in Bangalore right after the injury, was declared clinically dead at the hospital before being revived and an immediate surgery conducted. Was shifted to Breach Candy Mumbai where he remained for nearly two.months and had multiple other surgeries to prevent any internal bleeding. The low vitals for Shreyas in the dressing room post the injury reminded me of exact same scary scenario. Thank God he recieved immediate medical care and is now out of danger. May he recover fully and back to normal health as soon as possible.
