When will the BCCI/Selectors/Indian Fans learn how to pick teams?

Im really tired of the poor selection policy and some fans stupidity in selecting teams.

 

Firstly when a series has been won, then is the time to blood youngsters and give opportunities to them to be part of a winning culture as well as resting players that have endured a tough series.

 

India have made some terrible mistakes by not resting players when the series has been won but also the timing of the school girl IPL is a joke. If the BCCI want the IPL there should have been no Australian Test series to give players a chance to rest or rotated. India has gained very little smashing NZ, Eng, SA and Banga at home, when instead they could have played some fringe players and tested their ability instead of blooding new players in crucial deciding matches.

Indian fans do not select any team. You take the "worlds biggest democracy" moniker a little too seriously. The only team that Indian fans select are in ICF super selector.

 

And the IPL is timed when there is less intl cricket, the schools and colleges in India have their summer breaks etc.

Of course no fool on here selects the team, but the general Indian fan wants to see the best players play for India all the time.

 

India had the chance to rotate/rest players and arrogantly they didnt. Now they face a situation where some new player comes in a cut throat final test to decide the series.

Maybe because its unfair to current players in team if they are replaced by some one else, even if its just one game. If they are fit and earned their place, they would want to play and continue that form. What if someone replaces them and scores a triple century on a flat track and the other player loses their spot ? A bit similar to Karun Nair and Rahane but he didnt get dropped.

 

What if the team wants to continue that winning streak and doesnt want to lose it by not playing the first choice team and give a below par performance. It could change the tempo of the side and they might not play at their best in the next series.

 

Its not straight forward as you think. 

 

We played series against SA, NZ, Eng, BD(one test series, so had to play first choice side) at home and WI, SL overseas. Even though all the results were in favor of India, they were not easy wins.
