Again comparing with Aaron lol? Aaron is nowhere near our ODI/T20 team. Sandeep can be tried in T20's if one of Bk and Bumrah get injured. But for ODI's do you really think Sandeep is better than Shami in ODI's?? Regarding Shami's current form, he will get better as he plays more. Shami is a wicket taker with a very good record in ODI's. Sandeep will struggle once the ball stops swinging.

Shami when he's fit should be in the team but i worry about his long term fitness. To me i would save Shami and Yadav for Tests as they add more value in Tests and are way tough to replace. My pacers for Tests and shorter formats wuld be as follows...

 

Tests: Umesh, Shami, Bhuvi or another pacer in form at the moment

 

Shorter formats: Bumrah, Bhuvi, Pandya (all-rounder); Sandeep as the standby for matches where we play on seaming pitches where we can't go with 2 spinners.

Did u watch 2015wc, shami played with an injury

Check shami record and do compare it with bhuvi the one in ur list

bhuvi- 59 odi 61 wkts ( even umesh has 88 wkts in 63 odi)

shami 47 odi 87 wkts

 

 

Watch some cricket kid and u want bhuvi beta version also in team. Bhuvi has increased his pace n improved his death bowling, bhuvi also hits the deck hard which is why he earned his place back

 

What skills have sandeep added to his game.......

 

Sandeep is better than all trundlers but still his type wnt work on Flat odi decks

I don't remember last time we got seaming pitches in ODIs.Pitches in ODIs are flat world over.Even Bhuvi struggled when there was no swing .

What more do I have to say about Sandeep?   The guy was our best pacer at u-19 WC and help us win the tourney. He has consistently been our best pacer in domestic cricket. He has also been best Indian pacer in IPL during PP over the last few years. What else is there to say?  

 

That he doesn't deserve an extended run with the Indian team consisting of 2 series or so? Or that he be judged on one odd T20 with India A team (under Raina) when he made his debut as a 20 year old?

Bhuvi has massively increased his pace, and is a stud now on any wickets, where as sandeep will be eaten alive if there is no swing in offer, we have at least 10+ pacer better then sandip standing in queue, [emoji51]

This is all fun and games before the real stuff (CT) kicks off and you can see the same if you follow the IPL match thread. Nobody's "demeaning" anyone and most are generally having fun. Don't think so. If one keeps on succeeding consistently when everyone thinks that the person should fail, then the guy must be doing something right and deserves to be backed. I've seen it work in sports and works in real life too

Again agreed, but selectors has been ignoring sandip so there must be some reason isn't it??? think about it,only one or two good performance won't earn selectors faith as they have seen enough of sandip, frankly bro I have no personal issues with sandip I will be happy if he improves himself and gets upgrade but at the moment he is still the same of that u19 bowler just too limited and not good enough, good night see you tomorrow.

I know that and I don't take this banter seriously at all  It's all fun and TBH this is one of the reasons I come on here. If everyone agrees with you then what's the point of a forum?   But to me Sandeep deserves a run with the actual Indian team under Kohli for a couple of series. If we can give lkes of Dinda, Vinay Kumar, Sran and company a few games, surely Sandeep deserves a shot as well. You never know he may surprise us all the way i was watching him in the u-19 WC

Well I have gone through a few such threads and have to say some of those can be quite comical. Fun to read.
