Lol. Dravid and tendulkar werent caught cuddling the ball were they ?? Dravid's and Tendulkar's face dont really resemble Srinath's, does it? Or are you just plain stupid? Adding a lolz, doesnt add authenticity to any BS you put, sadly. Razzaq quicker than Srinath is a good joke, you have sense of humour, I give you that :) express bowling 1

Ill get into detail soon . Will start with that reading for muhammad sami and zahid. Also waqar clocking those speeds in two different phases of his career shows that he was the undisputed speed king of the 90s. If only we had more speed guns around 1989 -1994 . The peak of wasim and waqar pace wise. . This shows how srinath was nowhere close to him during the 90s and infact gough and gillespie were more comparable pace wise. Edited April 12, 2017 by the don

Just goes on to show your lack of knowledge. btw, Gough and gillespie were not comparable speed wise either. And they had totally different bowling style. Wasim never had a peak speed wise. he used to bowl around 145 at times. Waqar was only fast from 89 to early 94. So all this BS about Indian bowlers losing their pace is funny, coz your own bowlers could not retain their pace either. Srinath at his peak was the same pace and even quicker than Waqar. And there's data for that too. The data is ample in this thread itself, however some Pakistani have hard time digesting the fact. PLease open your eyes and be balanced for once in your life. express bowling 1

Ummm yes i agree waqar was at his quickest from 89 to 94 but even than he clocked 150 plus in 96 on that tour to.england as is documented . Waqar and donald were the two fastest guns of the 90s . Srinath was never in the race apart from a few quick deliveries that he may have bowled. This is based on watching him bowl and words of batsmen that faced him at the time . Never have i heard srinath being talked about as being anythimg other than medium fast . Wasim bowled at a pace where he could get optimum movement but he had an extra gear that srinath never had . He could turn on the heat as is mentioned by steve waugh and shane warne and the english batters I have seen gough and gillespie clock 90 plus a lot more than srinath . I am not being biased . Its a fact .

Losing pace has nothing to do with indian and pakistani bowlers . All bowlers lose pace . Some more than others . Shoaib was perhaps the only one that lost very little pace and was able to bowl 155 plus in england in 2010 at aroumd 35 years of age.

kira Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 So Akram was a trundler for most of his career Still a great bowler though Rightarmfast 1

And whenever they were used, Akram was never clocked above 140's. The fastest he was ever clocked was 145! And when Srinath was clocked, he was clocked at 157 in South Africa, 152 in NZ and 149.6 in WC99, where he was the 2nd fastest bowler in the tournament, next to Shoaib. Thats also one of the reasons how we know Srinath was way faster than Akram and same pace or a tad quicker than Waqar at his peak! express bowling 1

A lot of players might not have directly called Wasim Akram a cheat and a bottlecap user, but that doesnt change the fact Wasim was a cheater and also a match fixer. Wasim was a match-fixer. But not a bottle-cap guy. That was Imran Khan. Try not confusing the charges. Quote A lot of batsmen also called glenn mcgrath fast. A lot of batsmen also called courtney walsh fast. But that doesnt change the fact that all those bowlers were nothing more than medium fast bowlers. Except they were both genuine fast bowlers at their peak. I remember the legendary 99 series between WI and AUS, where McGrath was consistently bowling at 140kph speed. That is bonafide fast bowler territory. By the time Walsh was measured on the speed guns, he was 38 years old and still getting 130-135kph. Quote For the record, I never meant to say that Srinath was a better bowler than Wasim. That he wasnt. But he way faster than Akram, theres no two way about that. But the other fact is, Srinath wasnt a cheat and a match fixer and a bottlecap user. Wasim was all of that. So its tough to know whether it was the bottlecap, or his guile. Except there has never been a case for ball-tampering against Wasim. match fixing, yes. And yeah, Srinath was faster than a diabetic Akram bowling on one leg. At their peaks, i've never heard anyone say that Srinath was faster than Wasim. Even if batsmen do not have speed guns, i am pretty sure you can tell the quicker bowler from the slower one comparatively.

Explain the basics of fast bowling ? http://www.espncricinfo.com/magazine/content/story/889959.html Note what Andy Roberts says. And Holding has said it numerous times - your power as a fast bowler comes from the legs. A solid core is needed to transfer that power to the arms. And if your groin is perma-screwed, it means you won't pivot most optimally to transfer that power.

He was one of the biggest cheats during his playing days. The whole bottle cap thing was taught to Waqar and Wasim by Imran the great. One of the reasons why they all had inflated figures. Also one of the reasons why Pakitani bowlers of today are super crappy because they cant tamper the ball. Everybody knows that these 3 + Aqib Javed were ball tamperers, you can also try reading the confessions of NZ players. That will tell you some story :) I think in one of the threads it was you who was shouting that 140 is medium pace. Btw, in the 98-99 Frank Worrell trophy test series, speed guns were NOT USED!!! I know that because I watched each match from first ball to the last. Speed guns in 1999 were used for the first time in World Cup. And this series ended in march -april 99 itself! There goes more proof about your lack of knowledge! Not only was Srinath was way faster than a diabetic Akram, Srinath was Way Way faster than a fully fit young Wasim Akram! Btw, have you even bothered reading the 2 articled on which this whole thread is based on? I bet you dont even know there are some articles on this thread! What a buffoon! express bowling 1

None,nada,zilch.
