fineleg
Dhondy had posted a while back about how Dravid was uncertain during a certain innings against Pak (i think against Pak). I am really really surprised of all the people, Dravid played such a shot when on 93. Totally taken aback. Very uncharacteristic of him! ( Link to comment
Cricketics
btw, he got his hundred in adelaide test by playing a pull shot for six in 03-04 series on the bowling of gilespie.. Link to comment

But he was assured when playing that. Here, he was very nervous and fidgety in M.Clarke's over. And then in Symmo's over, he was very anxious, and played this stupid nothing-shot. The 6 of Dizzy in Adelaide was a shot of brilliance and on-song batsman. Very different. Link to comment
Cricketics
i am not sure if he was nervouz.. did u see him play all the deliveries.. he was just in hurry to get hundred.. but never was nervouz.. he was playing symonz offspin on to the wicket and clarkez leggie very easily.. just that he decided to eat bread and jam a bit early and there went mr. jammy for 93.. a legend Link to comment
Gambit
He was itching to get to that 3 figure mark and he was looking nervous. Backing away before Symonds/Clarke bowled etc were signs. It's been a while since he had gotten a ton against a non minnow (Jun '06) and he wanted to get there in a hurry. Tried to hit a six with an absolutely inane shot and paid the price. Link to comment
RockStar
that was a terrible shot...and after all the luck he has had throughout the series... getting out out on no-balls, dropped catches, lucky LBWs..he should hve really made tht one count... :disappointed: Link to comment

fineleg
More than RD's century being missed out, our total is in danger. Had he and Laxman (who played an even more brainy stroke ) played sensibly, we'd have been 450-ish. Now we are in danger of not getting to 400! Whatever happened to Laxman! Which player in Indian team has the MOST # of "soft dismissals"???...we shud check with Boss Bhai! Link to comment
varun
Now we are in danger of not getting to 400! OMG ! Let me pull up some of your predictions on what our first innings score would've been :P Link to comment

Let me pull up some of your predictions on what our first innings score would've been :P Whatever the prediction, this is really stupid of RD and VVS to throw this away. Such class players and very experienced players also! Just threw it away both of them. Rush of blood! Link to comment

Sachinism
crazy on dravid's part if he and laxman just played out till the end of the day. aussies would be crying in the dressing after the match Link to comment
DesiChap
Finey this one is for you straight from RD "The shot was on," he later said, "and I had played it earlier as well. The ball was tossed up. When it comes off, it looks great, otherwise it looks stupid. There's a fine line to being positive and throwing it away. People accused us of being negative in the first Test and we've been trying to be positive throughout. It's a little disappointing but there's a lot of cricket left in this game yet." http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/ausvind/content/current/story/331422.html Link to comment

poori_meri
This happens when you are facing high quality pace attack like Pak & Aus. Batsmen tend to go after part timers since they cant do anything against Akhtar,Asif Gul & to some extent Lee & Clark. Link to comment

Quite a shame considering Actor averages 35 against us. Link to comment
