Ankit_sharma03 Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 (edited) Ian chapell- So often i hear people say what happened to gentleman's game. I look at them and say to myself you idiot dont you know anything about the history of cricket. Where did cricket started?? It started in Pubs with gambling .....so it was never a gentleman's game and it never would be . Anyone who thinks that is an idiot........ Hahahahaha Chappell take on gentleman's game is so refreshing and i have been wanting to hear that for long.............. Ultimate_Game Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Professional sports is the same across all sports. People will do anything to win and that's whay you expect from professional sportspersons representing their team and nation. Gollum, Ankit_sharma03 and GoldenSun 3
Khota Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 It never was and never will be. It is another sport. Well said Mr. Chappel. Gollum and Ankit_sharma03 2
NameGoesHere Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Chappell is dead right. A casual internet search will show that the game in its early days was hugely influenced by gamblers and betting syndicates. Gollum and Ankit_sharma03 2
BeautifulGame Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 Chappell as usual spot on lol Gollum and Ankit_sharma03 2
WC2011INDIA Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 No wonder this sports is riddled with corruption and match fixing. Tbf even soccer has issues nowadays, but it is much cleaner than cricket will ever be. GoldenSun 1
