Did he mean they have identified kuldeep as wrist spinner

Or

Did he mean they have identified the importance of wrist spinners going forward

Both cases, didnt they knew about kuldeep existence before CT 2017

If they did not want to go into CT with Kuldeep because he was too young, then hey could have still gone for Mishra over poor Ashwin in odis.

Its not that Ashwin offered Jadeja like fitness and fielding which was as if 1000 times better than Mishra.

Mishra could have been better if we really needed a spinner who can take wickets.

We usually forget the importance of a leggie.

Now the best is to back the Chinaman Yadav for long time, that should be the priority.

For both the statements, we can say:

That's true. Mishra is slightly worse (or better?) than Ashwin in terms of fielding/batting (in ODIs) but he is a much more effective bowler. Off the top of my head, he is probably the only Indian bowler in our ODI history with 50+ wickets at an average <24-25.

Yes people keep saying he takes wickets against minnows, fact is that he hardly gets to play consistently against top teams.

Anyways, time to move on and invest in Kuldeep.

Yes, he has a great record against minnows but some of our current players would probably do poorly even against minnows (like WI)
