Do you think it is a deliberate policy to keep the Number of Muslims in the Armed forces to an absolute minimum?

I find it very baffling that a Country with around 17 % Muslim Population has lower than 2 % representation in the Armed Forces. Either they lack the passion to join the Army or are deliberately being kept outside the fold of defense services.

Why are sikhs haryanvis and people from uttarakhand over represented? Inka koi quota hai kya? And Possibly bangalis, gujratis are under represented in army, and acc. to you 'Either they lack the passion to join the Army or are deliberately being kept outside the fold of defense services'.

Islam teaches separatism, intolerance etc. in many seemingly harmless ways. You would find non-hindus in india using sanskrit/Hindi names...All non-hindus excluding muslims....sikhs, jains, Buddhists, several times even a Christian would have a hindi/sanskrit first or last name. But muslim indian names are always arabic. Why can't an indian muslim have a name such as ajay or anand? Look at their beard , their attire (burqa is the most disgusting dress in the world....The black color , the veil...It's the quintessence of oppression of women), how they cut animals as a ritual in the name of sacrifice...how disgusting.

You don't get it. Muslims are open and clear about their beliefs, ideology. It's non-muslims who for some reason refuse to believe such things, and history about them. Why is that? That's the actual question.  And India is the greatest example where invaders are called heros and massacres are forgotten. So the problem lies within, not in them.

Why are you comparing linguistic groups with religious groups?  Are Muslims concentrated in any one State of India ?

Okay,  Gujratis and Bengali's might not have a martial background like Punjabi's and Haryanvis  and hence their low numbers can be justified but what is stopping Muslims from UP and Bihar ( States with Highest Muslim Population)  from joining the Army ? Poverty regions like the  Hindi Belt contribute massively to the Armed Forces of which most are Hindus,  I don't see any reason why Muslims growing up in the same states and in same living conditions refrain from joining the force.

This is a very Purana Dialogue of bringing Gujarati,  Bengali people and compare their low numbers with Muslims. Muslims are not a monolithic group that is limited to one or two regions,  their presence across all over India is as widespread as that of Hindus.

I don't believe in caste-ism and hate discussing caste but how many indian muslims belong to the so-called martial castes of india and nepal? Is the number closer to 2% or closer to 17%? Jaats, jatts, rajputs, gurkhas etc. are almost exclusively non-muslims.

Muslims being low in the army is simply due to the fact they are not as patriotic. Even here in the UK I'm sure the number of South Asian people in the armed forces is lower than their percentage of the population as a whole. It's a good thing for India that muslims are in low numbers and not in any major positions of power in the armed forces.

As America and Russia are showing today military might is very important.

Guys, Its not hell and doom. The Bulshit in name of democracy, equality, religion and religious freedom is only acceptable till world is dependent on Middle eastern Oil.

EU/UK has already put a deadline. i.e by 2040 they will stop producing petrol/dielsel cars. After that, I doubt any country specially West will  buy any of this 1400 year old law. The law abiders will be forced to reform or close the centre of excellence. Simple as that.

Quote

At least two men were hurt in the incident, which sparked fears of a terror attack.

Revellers were drinking outside a bar in the city of Huelva, Andalusia, when the incident occurred.

Shocking photos show people scattering as a vehicle drove through a group of people.

Shocked residents then gathered around the vehicle and threw chairs and other objects.

Two men, aged 18 and 31, were injured in the incident and were taken to Juan Ramon Jimenez hospital.

People feared a terror attack with the memory of last month’s Barcelona attack still raw, a local councillor said.

Enrique Gavino said: "People suffered panic attacks because they understood that there was a vehicle and we are in a sensitive situation."

But according to police, the incident in Huelva was sparked by a "fight".

The driver was arrested after attempting to flee the scene.

This is a breaking story, more to follow...
