But, his ODI player selection has been a clear weakness and he needs to understand the importance of wicket-takers in the shorter formats.

He also seems to lack the sense of using part timers, his captaincy seems very text book which might work in LOI format 

He seems to take time to trust new players, forget throwing them to deep end and making heroes out of them. He has played with chahal a lot so that time gives him confidence as compare to kuldeep . 

 

About the wkt taker thing , we have to see how many wkt takers are their at our dispense. 

Shami xample in CT, he didnt spend time in middle which didnt give kohli confidence

Kuldeep lack of exp doesnt give kohli confidence 

 

 

I think its more then the game of player its the time that gives kohli confidence regd a player
