Insinuations of the captain and his bowlers, name calling..even his fans aren't spared here

Okay! I am sure anyone who hates Dhoni blindly is sensible and everyone else is trolling. :nice:
Where did I say that? I'm simply saying you're trolling by bringing in things like "free speech" and democracy and gagging a person etc on an online forum. As for "hating" Dhoni - yeah I don't like Dhoni that much but I don't hate him. His Test performance over the last few years has given me NO reason to like him as a Test player or as a Test captain so I will continue to criticize him and will say it again that from what I have seen of Bhuvi, he has a better technique than Dhoni.

if you call me troll i am deeply offended  if you have doubts, i will post snapshots of my FB to prove my innocence .. blind hate or blind support too is bane for any forum and i must say it again to you - in my eyes you were a blind fanatic and continue to be same even till date
There is nothing wrong being a die hard fan either, without passion and fan boyism sports will be very boring. However, there is a huge difference between well thought out support or criticism of any player and one liners and trolling posts. Also irony of your comment is that most people now think of you as a bigger blind Dhoni fan who cannot accept one fault of Dhoni

Typing a hundred lines of crap does not equate to quality posts.

Free speech is a very pertinent point. I find it hilarious that you call it 'trolling'. Trolling is anyway the most abused word here - anybody and everybody is a troll, without rhyme or reason. Bhuvi's so-called technique has given him only one hundred in his entire FC career in some 80 odd innings.

As I said, it depends on the quality and the thought behind it. KT might go over the top, but he tries to articulate his points and try to say why he is criticizing someone (nepotism, etc). However, when someone just makes a tit for tat one liner thread, what do you think? Pints are welcome

Nobody hates dhoni. It's a strong word,I know u have a soft corner for him but look at the votes ,many might have voted for bhuvi just for fun but the general consensus in icf is that they don't trust dhoni as a test player or a bat.there is nothing wrong in that. U can't say 44 guys hate dhoni just like that

i am very much sure about what i am posting and i made posts about dhonis defensive tactics ... i do defend him when posters claim dhoni is the root cause of all evil ( like blaming him for 0-4 and 0-4 ) ..

When there are posters who genuinely abuse free speech, where do you draw the line? You might have valid points, but there are people who only want to being the forum down. They are self declared trolls, banned or controlled on all other forums. You can make it out by their intentionally trying to rile other posters, being proud of that fact and only replying in one liners and ad hominum attack If you feel free speech here is more important as the forum slowly gets killed, then thats your view

Its an online forum with anonymous posters - "free speech" often results in abusive comments, personal insults, religious comments etc. ICF still is much, much better than most other forums I have seen in terms of having lenient Mods/Admins.

Tell me honestly, will you allow it if it was Tendulkar and not Dhoni? He was also a bad captain and lot of Mumbai cricketers played under him?what if someone called him corrupt based on just that? Why should the cricketer in question matter in moderation?

In a civil society, everyone knows the basic elements that constitute free speech. Everyone knows that personal attacks and expletives, religious comments etc need to be censored.

Sachin has been called everything from greedy to selfish to even fixer by some. Same with Dravid, Ganguly, etc The general thumb of the rule here is don't abuse the posters, cricketers are ok to an extent. BTW, the same issues were raised by Sachin fans in the past, and the same suspects actually spoke about free speech then

For ex - whatever KT says about MSD may be free speech for him but Yoda-esque may see it as a personal attack on MSD - now who do you listen to?
