Last 3 T20Is - 61(48), 89(49), 4(9), any reason why this batsman was dropped?

Dhawan is a bang average t20 batsman but I don't mind him playing here because of his recent form, it is clear that Raul was dropped to accommodate dhawan which is my concern.

regarding formats , kohli made sure rohit gets back for tests in saf by making easy runs against srl over a struggling rahane but even kohli in his heart knows that rahane is miles better than rohit as a test batsman, blinded by dostana maybe

Sure, I agree that Rahul deserves his spot in ODI/T20Is but probably in the middle order ( n not in top 3).

Rohit's inclusion over Rahane in the first test vs SA is simply shocking!!!!!

Another senseless non selection by kaptaan Kohli. First he destroyed Rishabh Dhawan, now he is after Rahul. Even if Rahul does very well in IPL, the so called think tank will say IPL form is not the basis for selection and continue to keep him out. I would "rest" Dhoni from T20 and pick Rahul as a makeshift keeper-batsman. He and Pandey can keep for 10 overs each.
