Uncapped batsmen from each team who were given a long run:

SRH - Hooda (Flop)
CSK - None
KKR - Rana (Decent), Gill (Decent), Rinku (Flop)
RR - Tripathi (Flop)
MI - Surya (Good), Kishan (Decent), Krunal (Flop)
RCB - Sarfaraz (Flop)
KXIP - Agarwal (Flop)
DD - Shaw (Decent), Abhishek (Decent)

Other than Suryakumar Yadav, none of the other uncapped batsmen put their hand up!

Why wud u even expect  from most u-19 kids to be the main players for the team of whom some werent given enough games and someone like gill was made to bat at 7.

If it happens it ll be one of rare things

The gr8 kohli had such a poor 1st IPL

I wouldnt call Tripathi a flop. He hasn't been given a decent run at the top. And from whatever chances he got at the top he performed decently. And Shaw was more than decent.

How about the likes of Hooda & Agarwal? They flop every season of IPL.

I wouldn't call Tripathi or Krunal as flops. Also, Shaw was not just decent, but was pretty good. Not fair to judge uncapped players who hardly got a chance to impress. The "just about capped" players impressed considerably in the form of Pant and Iyer. So in general, the next tier of players actually did pretty well.

I missed to mention it but, except Tripathi and Shaw  I agree with rest of your assessment
