He isn't a bright captain either, still thinks everything is ok with his batting order which everyone knows is a lie.Just because they bat deep doesn't mean they are a very good batting unit. 
Also he has lost a test match against WI last year during this time. Just imagine if Kohli had lost to a visiting WI side chasing 320+, what would have been the reactions?

I would say both captains are at par in so far as captaincy goes,quite ordinary to be honest but Virat is racing away with bar which is making Root even more inferior
