These days bowlers are charged of overstepping just because foot is clipping or umpire is unsure whether bowler’s part of the sheo was behind or not. That is where bowler needs to be given benift of doubt and not batsman. 

Or we need to get shoe-makers to make a bit more creative 'heel-trail' designs :)

Cricket is about Ball Versus Bat, not How much energy a batsmen has left to face the next ball after running 3 runs.. 

Seriously?  Looks like fat uncle just wants to hit the ball and have 'declared' runs.  We used to have that in gully cricket and terrace cricket - hit it past the bowler and its '1d',  hit the wall on the midwicket along the ground and its '2d', hit it flush and it was '4d' and so on.
