Let's be honest anyone rating these flat track bullies above the likes of SRT or Ganguly, Dravid obviously haven't seen cricket with 1 new ball ever! There were flat wickets back then as well but 2 new balls & T20 has over-inflated these hacks' returns & I'd include the other person in this list as well.

pointless batting unless the idea is to play a nightwatchman in LOIs  .... either blocks or hacks .... Unnecessarily blocked hittable balls in PP when batsmen at the other hand even took risky singles (also forces batsmen at the other end to take more risks as RRR is constantly climbing up)

No, his job as an opener is to give quick starts in the powerplay. India would benefit a lot by that approach even if he is inconsistent.  

 

Couldn't rotate strike, so he was moved up the order and now too slow to bat in the powerplay. He offers nothing to this batting lineup.

His trough could actually be worse than Amla, bhai was also great at number 3 for at least half a decade while this guy is 1000% test failure. Who knows quite possibly the dip has already started!
