The two teams that can make this WC exciting with their unpredictable cricket! Both teams have talent with the bat, which can take the game away on their day or can implode too. In bowling and fielding, SA has the advantage, but WI's power hitters can tilt the balance in their favor if they keep hitting the ball out of the park (no fielding required by the other team) 

 

SA has a competitive opening pair in de Kock and Markham. Amla can anchor the inning. D de Plussis is an experienced campaigner at #4. Then they have a bunch of multi-talented cricketers. The bowling is one of the best in the competition. For WI, it will be power hitting and pace. A couple of batsmen can get big 100s. 

 

If these two make it to the last 4, the WC could become memorable!

Those teams would be a great set for SFs. There has been too much of Aus in WCs in the past, while Ind is playing boring (unwatchable at times) cricket. Other Asian teams are on and off

Not washouts. Just lots shortened games with lots of waiting around. The rain here is usually light but hangs around, not like the heavy stuff you get in other parts of the world that build up later in the day washing out the remainder of play

Umpires really need to be sensible. This drizzle would not stop a county game or even a bilateral ODI in England.

Once the tournament starts they just can't be going off every time it drizzles or they will never get any play. Hopefully today was just a case of not wanting to cause injury in a warm up match.

4.10pm Match abandoned due to rain. Holder and Duminy shake hands, so does the rest of the team. We saw an impressive batting performance under difficult conditions from Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla today. Andre Russell bowled a mean short ball too, and the Holder-Cottrell duo bowled a terrific opening spell albeit with no rewards.
