Why India's match is so late?

More and more people are complaining on SM now some even sarcastically asking if India has qualified?

I suspect ICC too wants India to stay in tournament as late as possible.

That could have been achieved by spacing matches. SA is playing both first and last league match.

Seems original schedule was for IPL to end on May 19th which then changed to 12th.
