Starc starts spraying at times and can't maintain pressure built by others. Siddle has bowled really tight in this series without luck but starc has x factor like archer.

Siddle will not win you matches, Starc can win you matches in one spell.I would take Starc over Siddle any day.

Starc has played 2013, 2015 ashes in eng and hasn't done much imo. Siddle has had good tight spell and did great containing job multiple times.

No. They were not. 95 mph in tests is no joke and is an extremely rare commodity. You can count them in one hand since speed guns are in use from 99. Lee, Akhtar, Johnson, Starc who have done it in test cricket more consistently than anyone. Only 4 in last 20 years and you supposed to say WI had 4 at once. Even WI has only produced Jofra in two decades.

WI had more than 4 at once. That team was the most fearsome and the best .....

Akhtar, Lee, jofra etc are just nothing when compared to them....

no, that's a myth. akhtar and lee were faster than virtually every bowler in the 70s and 80s with the sole exception of the freak thommo. the next fastest were holder, marshall and roberts but none of them were as fast as akhtar and lee (garner and croft were not as fast - they were low 140s whose main asset was massive bounce). as for archer, he has played too few tests to undertake a direct comparison.

Being just quicker means nothing. Mitchel Johnson in 2013-15 was more devastating than Lee ever was in his entire career. Those 4 west indian bowlers knew how to bowl effective bouncers, by using crease.

Common man stop it with your speed gun nonsense, they did not have to hit 95mph every ball  to be effective. They all had genuine pace go and read accounts the players who faced them.

You were saying they had 4 Jofra Archers which is untrue. They are more bowlers now than ever who have genuine pace. You just have to admit it wasn't the greatest quality of cricket in 80s with only one good team around. India was ****, England was ****, Aus was ****, SA was banned, Pak was high on bottle caps.

Because Lee never used intimidation as weapon.

I believe you have misread the context. I was rebutting the claim by TheWall that WI had >4 pace bowlers who consistently bowled above 95 mph. this is patently untrue. they had 3 who bowled over 90 mph consistently and a few more who operated in the 87-90 mph.

That's just a myth. They weren't even faster than Umesh Yadav. They just played in an era when other teams were quite ****.

you should listen to some of the other myths. some are truly funny. claims that mohd zahid bowled 170 kmph, that frank tyson bowled 160-170 kmph, that larwood bowled 160 kmph, etc. I am surprised we have not seen claims of someone bowling 200 kmph in the past.
