warner has always been more of a home track bully, and they have struggled to find a partner for him. if not for smith (and rain), this team would lose the ashes by 4-0 or something like that. the Oz attack is a very fine one, but the batting is falling to pieces. hard to believe that only about 10-15 yrs ago there was a lineup of: langer, hayden, ponting, clarke/waugh, martyn, lehmann, gilly

15 years ago aus had better players in domestic circuit than what they have now in international cricket.
