^ agree with investment part and harvesting of water. Bur If scrapping IWT is morally ethically wrong then how can using it as leverage is not wrong in same moral and ethical standards.

We have a aspiration to resolve water issue and connect all Indian rivers. For me it is standard infrastructure development policy internal to India. In times of similar moral and ethical standards of Pakistan, we may share the resources after general consensus. Indus water is Indian water. Indians have right to take call

^ You see, Pakistani Military establishment is very clear that they may be forced to use nukes if Indus Water Treaty is disturbed. So thats about it. Earlier Kashmiri Pro Pakistani Muslims understand it, better it is.

Question is, If Pakistani establishment refused to accept any agreement between India Pakistan since past 70+ years, Should India honour IWT when its own people struggle with water scarcity

So I was reading somewhere that Pakistan today has neither ability to measure if they are getting their signed share of water nor a way to actually use it. Most of it goes into ocean. Not sure how true it is though.

Unresolution says

Pak removes their army tribals non pok residents out of all pok + area ceded to china

India positions law keeping force in entire j and k

Once maintained india calls for plebecite.

Since the first two conditions cant be met resolution can not be binding.

Article 370 came 5 years after resolution and it did not change the resolution when it came and went. Its within Indian constitution.

Kashmir is a bilateral issue between India the soverign and pak the usurper.

India will get back all of pok ceded valley ..remove chitral and balochistan from pak.

UN resolutions clearly call for total withdrawal of all Pakistani forces - and for Indian forces to enter and control all of PoK and Gilgit-Baltistan, establish peace, and then conduct plebescite.  Pakistani refusal to vacate seized territory makes the resolution void.  After all, if you ask Pakistanis to vacate seized territory, what's left?  :bandit:

IWT is a concrete example of India being more than generous to Pakistan. But still greenbros whinge and cry.  Indian govt should green-light multiple projects to build dams and storage capacity within its territory.

Quote

The resolution 80 marked a shift from the resolution 47 which called for Pakistan to withdraw first. Resolution 80 asked India and Pakistan to withdraw their troops simultaneously for the purpose of plebiscite. This attempt at equality did not find India's agreement.
