Advocates of five test 'centres'- Thoughts on this Indore Surface/Crowd

Great track that would have provided an even contest if the opposition were any good. Indian bowlers prove it.

Great attendance throughout the three days (even though it's a small ground-enough for test cricket).

Beautiful Stadium and good facilities overall.

 

Should such a venue miss out ? Thoughts?

Much better atmosphere and pitch than most traditional test centers - definitely better than Delhi, Mohali and Kanpur. Only Wankhede and Eden will put up a better show. No wonder, Kohli did not talk about playing at only 5 test centers. Must have felt like an idiot.

 

Also, the great test pitch produced by the curator should be the benchmark for all our Test pitches, not the dust bowls where we see the surface breaking up from first session

Well Indore is the only true/real fortress for India in India, also if this was Oz the attendance could've easily exceeded 60k for 3 days. The last test vs NZ was very well received, Bangers are just not such a big draw also Brat shut should his trap about number of playing venues in India

These centers should get more Odis and T20s but Tests should be limited to iconic venues .

 

Only Tests against Bangaldesh, SL,  WI and Ireland must be arranged in these venues.
