And that is because of the bias that exists today favouring certain players (state lobby, IPL lobby, seniority) regardless of performance on ground and complete negligence of proper analysis of their strengths based on conditions and opponents. And there is a great apathy to give chances to new players(need not be always young) unless he literally breaks the door.  And selection of Kohli has been piss poor most of the times barring fast bowling unit.

That does mean Shaw, Gill or Devdutt have ability of Banton. If you don't produce those talents you don't win. Pant does not have his range of strokes.

I don't have to see any video to tell about Pant abilities, I have seen enough.He needs to improve his offside game a lot to become better player.Clean striking is a gift , not every player has it.Even Kohli does not have it , Rohit has it. Current Indian team has only Rohit who has that ability.

and banton doesnt have any issue ? Let him play 1 year of international team will expose many issues with him to
