You don't pick team to handle one bowler per team lol Besides some of these bowlers go the distance on flat pitches against even average players. None of these bowlers are out of the world unhittable bowlers. Unless we are talking about all these bowlers playing on a pitch that is moving like banana this state means nothing. in such conditions entire Indian batting will be exposed. sarcastic and Norman 1 1

I do not think you have the capacity to understand data or merits of a thread .... Nor do I think it offers any value to me to spoon feed posters like you .... Since the thread is useless for you, the best you can do is get off it All I see you do is first insinuate at some kind of conspiracy, then use the thread to post some irrelevant stuff to the thread and even attack other players. Why not start a seperate thread to praise Rohit to feel good about yourself if you are so impacted by the data here. It is not my fault that Rohit keeps showing up at the bottom of the list

It is not my fault that Rohit keeps showing up at the bottom of the list It has zero merit. You cannot randomly pick a few bowlers you rate and see how your least favorite batsman performs against them lol Based on that Kohli consistently fails against leggies. He even gets out to Moeen Ali, Lyon a lot. But for his ineptness against spin India would have won a lot more matches including Tests. Norman 1

It would have appeared full of merit to you. As I said, your opinion is pointless to me as I would not use your inputs on matters related to data (you do not even know how to sort or present information) .... Your posts only reflect a lack of understanding to me and as I said I have no desire to spoon feed .... start a seperate thread to praise Rohit based on whatever your criteria are. vvvslaxman Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 (edited) For the record Steyn has never dismissed Rohit in a one dayer lol Steyn has dismissed Kohli thrice. This is why this statistic is logic free. Southee has dismissed kohli 6 times. Edited February 12, 2020 by vvvslaxman

Anyways, in the dumb language that you would understand -> "great, that styen has never dismissed rohit. i am sure he has a great avg in the basket" PS on a thread that has Steyn, Donald, etc. in the basket and lists players like Tendulkar, you would probably comment "but Tendulkar was dismissed by Cronje (or some such irrelevant stuff)" Edited February 12, 2020 by zen

Anyways, in the dumb language that you would understand -> "great, that styen has never dismissed rohit. i am sure he has a great avg in the basket" haha that is the best arugment you have? lol Rohit made 138 with starc and cummins when entire line up was collapsing. Starc took 6 for 43. Brett Lee was at his very best in his career during 2007 series where he made 66 in the tri series final. He scored 79 in the world T20 vs Australia in that bouncy pitch when entire line up imploded. He is far and away the best batsman on bouncy wicket. if you still don't comprehend that you need to learn cricket from teh start.

vvvslaxman Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 (edited) While you are at it include southee, all the leg spinners and all the off spinners, pakistan bowlers like Junaid khan, Amir . Don't pick randomly 6 bowlers like they are world's best ever. They are not. You have to do well against everyone. It is not okay to suck against Ish sodhi and do well against Cummins. So stop this crap. You have no excuse to fail against lesser bowler. That is why they have something called average, strike rate, centuries. If Dhawan is so good against these guys then he should have been even better against others. Why is his average not even 50 yet. As an opener he is averaging 58.11 . Highest in the history among those who have opened substantial number of times. 27 centuries. 138 innings. That is like a cenutry every 5 innings. There is nobody close to him. Unless you think there are only these 6 bowlers are playing for every single country tstop with this stupid thread every 6 months. Edited February 12, 2020 by vvvslaxman sarcastic 1

It only shows certain things about Rohit have been exposed so you have to cover up blah blah. at the end of the day Dhawan got out to these bowlers 16 times Rohit 12 times. Kohli 9 times. So not sure what the heck you are trying to prove by selecting grand total of 6 bowlers lol These bowlers got thrashed by random batsmen in various stages of their careers. ONly place where Rohit struggles is when there is movement. That doesn't have to be Rabada, Steyn. Even Deepak Chahar could pose him a lot of problems. Sometimes even random Bangla bowler. You don't average 58 as opener without being successful against opening bowlers. If anything Malinga is a better bowler than all these guys.
vvvslaxman Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 Tendulakr? Why 4 bowlers. Whenever Mcgrath plays Tendulkar average dips to 36. sarcastic 1

As I said, if you think that the 58 average is so meaningful, why not show the guts to start a thread such as Rohit > Tendulkar/Richards as a top order batsman?

Who cares if Rohit is better than Ricahrds or Tendulkar. At this point he is the second best Indian ODI player. second best in the world too. Already in the all time ODI XI list of some.

He is already in the all time XI list of 2 players. By the time he ends his career he will be the default choice opener for all the ATG XI. Only reason i don't go one way or the other is because Tendulkar played best of his cricket in a different era. So i don't believe in comparisons across eras.
