yes, because he played in the middle order (unlike nos. 1-3 which are harder) and on flatter pitches. he is a good talent, but still needs to develop several aspects of his game, especially abroad.

Even middle order batsmen don't average 50 in county.

Fine talent..  He will eventually become lethal against spin as well.  Nice balance & all round stroke making.

Bohannon, for instance, has averaged over 50 since his first 2-3 matches. and people like hick, ramprakash, etc. all had avgs of 50 in FC. it's just that eng have a severe paucity of talent.
