Vijy Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 both excellent movies, I will go with navarone. it had a slower and more introspective feel, which I like in war-oriented movies. Clarke 1
zen Posted January 18, 2022 Author Posted January 18, 2022 I double dipped on GON to get a digital version on iTunes as it is 4K SDR and with hopes that it will eventually be upgraded to the newly restored 4K HDR I compared a little with the blu-ray, whose audio quality gives it an edge ... the picture quality is similar with more grain visible on blu-ray Vijy 1

zen Posted July 28, 2024 Author Posted July 28, 2024 Rewatched Guns. The film is aging like a fine wine. coffee_rules 1
coffee_rules Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 I like both , but Where Eagles Dare is a better favorite due to it being a wholesome entertainer.
zen Posted July 29, 2024 Author Posted July 29, 2024 After I watched half of Guns of Navarone, I decided to pause it and watch Raiders of the Lost Ark. Since Guns of Navarone is told in day to day chapters, it is easy to pause it and then get back to it. While watching Raisers, I kept thinking about Guns, so I ditched Raiders and got back to Guns to finish it.

This is a movie thread, therefore, I would like to read on films! Movies (like Cricket for many here) is one of my key hobbies, I have all the time in the world to devote to my hobbies! coffee_rules 1

zen Posted July 29, 2024 Author Posted July 29, 2024 (edited) Watched the Eagles … When I watch this film, I feel like revisiting the Munich-Salzburg area … Superb location and score … remains highly entertaining as always! One should revisit these classics often. Edited July 29, 2024 by zen coffee_rules 1
zen Posted August 2, 2024 Author Posted August 2, 2024 (edited) Over the years, these two excellent action-adventure films have consistently provided me with joy. Therefore, it is time to include them in my top 10-15 favorites list, which tends to change every few years. Edited August 10, 2024 by zen coffee_rules 1
