Young Indian batsmen (U30) in IPL2020

As a supporter of youngsters (under 30), below are my impressions so far:

Cons

  • Gill: poor attitude while batting
  • Shaw: can play a good inning here and there, but has looked clueless at times. Fielding the Achilles heel so his batting talent advantage needs to be substantial
  • KL: has runs under his belt but w/o SR that is not everything. lacks killer instinct and may be is displaying nervousness
  • Pant (among my favorites): A good power hitter & 360 degrees batsman. But appears to be bitten by "take time to be consistent" bug when his USP is impact. He is not someone who will score 30, 30, 20, 40, 60 but 0, 30, 80, 0, 40 .... so may not be playing his natural game
  • Iyer: Yawn worthy batting except for a knock at S'jah
  • Rana: Needs to improve his game esp. v short balls and leg spin but has a good attitude

Pros

  • Agarwal: Playing with the right attitude and the best Ind batsman on display. A solid fielder
  • Tewatia: Won his team two games. Took some cool catches too
  • Pandya: Played a few impact knocks in the lower middle order. Electric on the field
  • Samson: Inconsistent esp. due to bad shot selections but has played 2 match winning innings for his team. Again, another player who has been brilliant on field

Hope that these guys pick up their games (if they are playing well, do even better)in the business end of the group stages and playoffs (from teams that make it)
