Nice!! ....  My comments below though I do not recall birth months of most cricketers so going by what you posted (only googled a little for Dec and came across Ranatunga):

  • Dec: Out Razzaq. In Ranatunga. It has a good bowling attack already w/ Flintoff, Yuvi, Saqlain, Kuldeep, Bumrah & Garner
  • June & July are nicely balanced teams too

June team looks best , i dont knw how but watson has to get in......may be in place of mark waugh

what a team when u have - steve waugh, watson, cairns, miandad on bench

December also looks very good

Thanks for commenting! Felt KL was too new, and not done enough in ODI cricket- though you're right with his ability he should be in, especially with the April line up being a bit stodgy

Shami is Sept born and shares the new ball with Ambrose :) SAMI of Pakistan was "on the bench", he was a good ODI bowler tbf...Len Pascoe as Jimmy Cliff suggested, was one option to replace Bhuvneshwar. Kinda agree re Feb that the tail is a long, but have tried to fit the teams with 6th bowler options as much as possible. Darren Lehmann is also an option, he was a decent part time left arm spin bowler.

I have a bit of a soft spot for Mark Waugh as a 90's cricket fan , he's a better pure batsman than Watto- but the latters scoring rate and bowling option (though the side does not need one) makes him tough to leave out. Watto/Sanath opening duo would be destructive.

Thanks :)

I want Ranatunga in too, as I said in my OP. But I Felt he would have to bat at 6 ( or at 5 and Yuvraj at 6) and that was too low for both, Flintoff and Razzaq are better suited for 6 and 7.

But youre right, dont need Razzaqs bowling. Ranatunga can bat at 6, and captain that side too.

Sooda ... Kudos at the humongous effort put in.  Most are very good teams.

Only the August team look a a tad weak .And the bowling of the March team and lower middle order of the January team

Thanks :P I literally copied out names from Cricinfo lists of highest run/wicket takers and then copied out the dates of births for most/ a lot of them. Sad I know, but I love making dream teams so I enjoyed it when I actually got round to compiling the "11's", debating between different players and deciding on line ups.... Unless I copied out wrong, the dates should be right. Im sure there is an easier to way to get the DoBs from some database...!

June, Sept, Oct, Dec are the best 4 sides... Aug , Jan bit weak as you say, April middle order too

Great compilation. I will spend more time on who you left. But at the top of my head:

David Boon, Ijjaz Ahmed , Salim Malik, Randall, Gilmore, Kalicharan was an attacking player.

And of course, Majid Khan.

Thanks man!

Saleem only just missed out in April side, in fact he was in my first draft XI...Ijaz is a great shout, a bit ahead of his time as a powerful hitter; Sept born like Majid, and there is plenty of competition there...have to admit the others I don't know/or never seriously considered :).

Srikkanth is a good shout too, just googled and he is Dec born! As is Boon...Tough for them to get in past QdK and SD. Trescothik is Dec born opener too.
