Punjab used to be the no 1 state in 2003 when sorted by per capita GDP, it's over reliance on outdated agricultural practices has pushed the state to 15-17th position in a matter of just 20 years. That is some fall. The water levels in Punjab and Haryana are at all time low and the stubble burning causes massive air pollution. The over use of fertilizer in both those states has led to a massive increase in "Cancer" cases so much so that Punjabis import wheat from Madhya Pradesh i.e even Punjabi farmers don't eat the grains they produce. Punjab is a literal **** show and only biased people who hate BJP and Modi can defend the circus called Punjab.
