Bilateral T20s are just meh

Today's India Aus T20 is the first cricket game I'm watching since the IPL final.

 

I know its a dead rubber, but this game has nothing so far to keep me watching for another 5 overs.

 

The sense of urgency and excitement is really lacking vis a vis the IPL.

The IPL is far more entertaining than this.

 

Unless its a multi nation tournament, T20s are just meaningless and generally unfun.

Bilaterals are boring but I watch them anyway because something's better than nothing. IPL has quite a few lopsided games and some of the teams look so down and out that you feel they ought to be kicked out but still, the excitement factor is a couple notches higher. I prefer IPL anyday over a bilateral.

there were lot of uninteresting ipl games too, especially in the second half

 

But this series is particularly bad because neither teams are playing with their best XIs. Would have loved to see Bumrah vs Smith, Maxi and Cummins vs Kohli, Pandya even if its a dead rubber

Both the teams aren't playing their best players(bowlers) so its obvious that the quality of match won't be that great. 

 

All these bilateral series are just setting the stage for the Main event i. E the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

Asking rate getting close to 2 runs per ball and Kohli us still in ODI mode. He is so outdated in his approach. If this is how he is going to bat, there's no point in choosing to chase!
