Is Mohammad Shami an overrated test bowler?

Yes ... Shami still bowls 135 k to 147 k  8 years after debut. And with accuracy, bounce and seam movement.

 

And we are blessed nowadays to have Ishant, Umesh and Bumrah sustaining speeds after  14 years, 10 years and 5 years respectively.

 

Ishant hit 146 k yesterday and Bumrah hit 149 k today.

 

This quick bowling culture has really helped our pace attack

You are right it was a 6fer for ishant in that match now I remember it was Auckland, that epic innings from B.mac (300).

He has very good natural seam. He is good in seaming conditions of South Africa. His record there is outstanding. He only sucks in n.z and England. Can't control swing as rightfully mentioned. Correct.

Some of are you are really underrating shami. he excels everywhere except England and n.z. Those are his worst conditions due to inability to control swing. 

 

He is every bit as good as Shoaib if not better. Shoaib struggled on flat pitches and dead dustbowl pitches but he did well in swing conditions. 

 

In Asia there is only one champion and his name is Shami.

He is a level ahead of Zaheer Khan..... 

But yeah he is good on bouncy and flat tracks, in england and nz i will take Bhuvi or Siraj over him.
