4th test Ahmedabad, Mar 4-8 India vs England , WTC Final KO for India Match thread

Would it be fair to see that if India are batting at lunch, the game will likely be over by close of play today?

I could see England being bowled out in a session and a half.

The closer India get to 150+ lead, it will break all of the Poms psychologically.

8.40am "This wicket will be turning square," says Graeme Swann in his pitch report for Channel 4. "England are not behind the game, they are not out of it completely. It's 39 degrees, but trust me it feels like 50. It's going to be hard, and England need to be resilient, and that's the only way to win a Test match."

lol

If the wicket turns square. Game may be over before tea on Day 3.

Apologies for asking this but in India do you guys still have "sleepy time" in the afternoons, where everyone takes a nap after lunch?

Is that just for certain areas of India?

Everyone is hooked to internet these days. No one has time to sleep during afternoons now.

India's plan should be simple today, bat long if they can. Runs will come in the arvo.

If one of them gets out early, then attack at full tilt.

Thanks for that.

Makes sense.

Surely in small rural areas it may still happen? I remember as a child going there for holidays, I couldnt believe how the streets would be so quiet at 3pm.

Poms have only themselves to blame. Had India 6/150. Even if India reached 200, we were batting last on this pitch and the Poms could have won it.

A six over the bowler's head by sundar.

cover driving 4 follows

Cover drive was better, timing and placement. Perfection.

Off the top of my head: Raina, Zaheer, Chawla

I mean currently playing and available for potential selection.

Raina and Chawla are both finished.
