I presume the batting technique against the swinging ball also gets better.

Not sure sure about that.  In the meantime, starting May 25, NZL will be playing a tour match vs Somerset and then two tests vs England.  They're likely more fine-tuned than India will be.  Hopefully, they will be more fatigued, too :-).  And hopefully, moving the match to Southampton will minimize the impact of bloody English conditions.

I will not make that persumption. Get there on time and get some practise. All Indian players have some experience under those conditions so it will not be that painful.

They will have two weeks to prepare. IPL teams can go there in batches. Not all players will be in finals.

Rohit, Ishant, Bumrah, Shami, KL, Kohli, these guys have been there before. They should be ready.

 

I firmly believe India wins it as long as they dont have a slow start.
