I do not recall Sundar bowling in PPs in the current T20 series :hmmm: ... In the 2 games that Eng won, it comfortably took the initiative in the PP v Ind (though Ind batted 2nd only once where it did well but PP batting has fallen short in general). Sundar has usually been brilliant bowling in the PP but one of the reasons that Sundar may not have bowled much could be more right handers batting (though Malan bats at #3 and saving him for Morgan & Stokes) and if that is the case, Ind needs to move away from the formulaic "right hander -> leg spin; left hander -> off spin" concepts. At the end of the day, the goal is to bowl your best bowlers suited to a particular stage even for an over or two.

If the pitches in the WC would be flat with dew on, Ind may play only one specialist spinner (and may be another as an AR at #7 -> Tewatia, Jadeja, Sundar, etc.) where you could have Tewatia/Jadeja at #7 and Varun C/R Chahar/Chahal (if not Sundar) as the specialist spinner so may also need focus on bowling those most suitable at the respective stages (PP, Middle Overs, Death).

Could have bowled him a bit early in this game too ... However, with dew, esp. if Ind is playing 5 bowlers, 2 spinners may not work in the WC :hmm:

Probably need to plan for 4 pacers (including an AR) + 2 spinners (including an AR)

This is precisely the reason we need to give chances to Washi up the batting order. We should also play 4 proper bowlers and Hardik, which will mean we will have 6 proper bowling options.

Anyone can have a bad day like Washi had today, but when that happens there is no fallback with current team. They have only 5 bowlers including Hardik.
