Predator_05 Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 He is in the team primarily for his spin bowling, but what impresses me is his batting. Very assured in his strokeplay, picks the length early and packs a real punch with his shots. Clears the infield with ease. He reminds me a bit of Robin Singh. In his short stay at the crease so far, he has outshined the equally impressive Shane Watson
umpire Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 he is more than decent left armer. Our next generation of left arm spinner is looking good Ojha, Jadeja and Abdulla
umpire Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 He comes from poor family. He is from same town as Ajay Jadeja.
Cricketics Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 he was our vice captain for u19 world cup. he is impressive odi bat.. he would definately get to play Odi's for India in an year or two..
Ram Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 He is just 19, played in the U-19 team. He seems VERY good against the spinners, ala Ganguly.
amits Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 and in the left-arm spinners, add ali murtaza & syed mohammed as well. the icl ban will most liekly be lifted by 2009 & the icl players will become eligible again
The Outsider Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 He has got some shots but still a long way off in terms of understanding match situation and placing the ball for singles. Tries to smash everything.
swami1984 Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 He has got some shots but still a long way off in terms of understanding match situation and placing the ball for singles. Tries to smash everything. Heyy we can have our own Afridi!!
The Outsider Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Heyy we can have our own Afridi!! We already have one in Praveen Kumar.
Zakhmi Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Does it mean that Ravi and Praveen are hitting of Afridi's class? astonishing!!!
amits Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Heyy we can have our own Afridi!! yusuf pathan is already the indian version of afridi. yusuf pathan looks to hit 4s & 6s every ball & is a useful spin bowler
amits Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 He comes from poor family. He is from same town as Ajay Jadeja. is ravindra jadeja in any way related to ajay jadeja
Desi Cartman Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 yusuf pathan is already the indian version of afridi. yusuf pathan looks to hit 4s & 6s every ball & is a useful spin bowler and he also gets out after scoring 5-7 runs just like the Young guy from pakistan ! :two_thumbs_up:
Desi Cartman Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 is ravindra jadeja in any way related to ajay jadeja yeh andar ki baat hai :sex:
h4te Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 yeh andar ki baat hai :sex: lol. lmao. first time i've seen that smilie used for the 'right' reason. i actually thought he was jadega's son or whatnot...but it doesn't look like it....well, unless : :sex:
Desi Cartman Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 I suspect Ajay Jadeja and Mandira bedi being the culprits ... she once couldnt stop laughing on TV after one of the commentators said "a bat depends on the quality of the wood ... and this player seems to have a good piece of wood" ...
h4te Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 ^^^ that makes me hot :(( sooooo, you got the 'flames' for ajay jadeja, eh? :giggle:
