Akashdeep is injured.

Harshit is injured and was out of the test squad even when fit.

Reddy occupied a different slot.

Gurnoor is ahead of Nabi in India A. And I doubt Gambhir would like a medium pacer like Nabi.

Bumrah is injury prone.

I think Nabi will be better in NZ , much better. Just because Gurnoor is fast and tall doesn't mean he is better.

Typically, NZ pitches are helpful for seam movement in the 1st innings and flatten out completely in the 2nd innings. ( happening often in SA and Eng too ).

We have lots of 1st innings pacers like Bumrah, Siraj, Akashdeep. We need someone who can bend his back in the 2nd innings, like Gurnoor Brar.

This. NZ has been a particularly egregious example of second innings blues for our bowling, multiple tests that we could/should have won if we had someone who could deliver in the second innings. I also wish they take Ashok and use him for shock value with short spells

Good to the commentator for a change saying since Chahar is only medium pace he doesn't have many options when he gets smashed lol. Who's the commentator?  Is it Faf?

Faf bro.

Doing it from WC final bro.

Bumrah hasn't crossed 139 k in his last 3 matches.  Fastest of 133 k in his last match.

Is he injured ?

Never really tries unless Mumbai lose about 5 games, and then he has to rescue them

Even an easy going and no efforts Bumrah is usually 132 to 142, if fit.

These days Bumrah can go lower as well.

Not sure which gome, but in WC as well against a weak opposition he was bowling 130-136...with occasional delivery hitting 139-140.

Though against Pakistan and in semis and finals he bowled fast.

Probably understand better now when to push himself and when just release the bowl without any effort.

I got the feeling that Bumrah had fitness issues during WC 26

Hw is doing what bowlers in 90s use to do, ball rubbish in non-essential game and put in more effort in big games.
