Time's running out for Mayank for world cup selection.
If there's any chance, he needs to play on Tuesday and bowl with full intensity.

Else, he might have to wait until some bilateral series conditional on the regular bowlers being injured.

Boards have to give squads by 1 May then can then change it till 27 May and then they can do injury replacements.

They played Shami with injury in the ODI WC, if they want they will do it. The best chances is they are going to carry Mayank as traveling reserve.

 

Players like him are insurance policies for TM and selectors when Ind team fails in WCs, and fans are after senior player and want newer faces so TM and selectors will arrange a series or 2 and have these guys/newbies to console fans and keep the fans engaged with Ind cricket.

KKR and GT can include Ind fast bowlers inplace of Intnls. They can Add to their bating GT specially so.

GT's Top 4-5 play at v.low SR and are kind of T20 accumulators adds to much pressure on Miller to keep to pushing the RR and keep his wkt.

 

Adding 2 intnl batters in top 5 gives additional confidence.

Indians don't like to help their own kind often. That's why brits managed to divide us and rule for 100 years. 

 

Also look at what indian managers etc do to their own people for visas in dubai. They low ball them and force them to take lower wages because of such heavy competition in India for spots overseas.

 

They help their Arab bosses by giving ideas such as paying wages based on passport etc.

Mayank won't make it...  Only Harshit and Mohsin have a chance as they have played more & have FC experience & were around the set up.  Even that looks tough. 

Arsedeep will be selected on left arm quota and mera Mohit Sharma brings eggsperience.

Rana is not even in reckoning, either he needs a 5-er win KKR the IPL season. As for Mohsin 1-2 good matches wont get him a chance Singh is locked for LAF bowler also not sure if Mohsin is fully fit.

 

Mohit's stocks were high but have fallen down with last few not so go performances, and they know what happened to Harsal. These kind of bowlers look good in IPL as some players lacks t20 game or/and power and get wkts because of batters' inability rather than teir own abilities.

 

In Intnl levels v.few teams suffers from inability to hit 6/4. Same case with chahal who bowls so much outside off stump it works in IPL against because inability of doestic batters to hit it for 4/6 in intnl batters can hit 4/5 plus he can utilize crease better plus have modern T20 shots and when they know bowler is not attacking stumps the only way to lose wkt is to play lose shot.

If Rana doesn't make it.

Then it's clear that Bumrah, Siraj, Arshdeep & Avesh will be the 4 bowlers...while Pandya will be the 5th bowler.

What a travesty lol. Afleast 3 are tall I guess but arshdeep and avesh can bat too

Yea he is bowling well tbh. He also has rohit and coolies number
