Ram Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Mohammed Kaif. He was crap then, he is crap now. No surprises there, crap always remains crap. :cantstop:
Cricketics Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 he will find his form against chennai, don't worry marirs
Ram Posted April 21, 2008 Author Posted April 21, 2008 he will find his form against chennai' date=' don't worry marirs[/quote'] You mean he's gonna hit 15 off 20 balls. That is definitely 'form' for him, going by his current standards. For someone who is a bona fide test specialist, its amazing to think he spent his initial years in the Indian ODI team. Gives us a fair idea of how poor our ODI was, back then. :giggle:
flamy Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 He has really really disappointed along with Sreesanth.
Ram Posted April 21, 2008 Author Posted April 21, 2008 I can understand why guys like Dravid, Laxman, Ganguly are being paid so much despite their known foibles in the limited overs format. They are their team's identity, guiding figure, the brand around which the whole team is makreted. They have come to represent their state, city and the culture of that part of the world. After all, whats Bengali psyche without Saurav Ganguly? But, Mohammed Kaif, 3/4th of a million.... :haha:

Ram Posted April 21, 2008 Author Posted April 21, 2008 He was paid only $350' date='000! He's the lowest paid high profile player in India![/quote'] And thats because he gave up the 'Icon' status. If it wasnt for that, Laxy would have been the highest paid star in the league, considering Symmo got $1.35 M
The Outsider Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 The Indian selectors share the brilliance of guys like Sriram and use T20s to pick test squads to give India the unmatchable talunt of Yuvraj Singh.:hysterical:

Australia was an aberration, a blip. No matter, greatness can only be delayed, never denied. Cant wait for our next tour to Aus, some old scores badly need to be settled. :two_thumbs_up:

Ram Posted April 21, 2008 Author Posted April 21, 2008 Talunts like Yuvraj went missing in action compared to Kaif when pitted against the same line ups in the same series!!:hysterical: Sure, never compared the respective test spot claims of Yuvraj and Kaif. You word can be final on that. Maybe, just maybe, Kaif is a better test batsman than Yuvraj. But there are no 'maybes' about his ODI and T20 batting. They suck, period. :giggle:

Cricketics Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 mairirs, kaif's poor run in 2020 doesn't even tell anything what he is capable of doin in 50 over format and also in test.. he is never used as a hitter up the order.. his role was to anchor the innings in the middle.. or come little down the order..
ludhianvi Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 I dont think Kaif has the range of shots to be a striker/powerful hitter. His back swing and stance doesnt allow for him to freely hit the shots. Either he should be slogging in the 20 overs version or play with finesse. But in other forms of the game, you dont have to be a powerful hitter to succeed.
