And this bounce variations, of our pace attack as a whole, may make Bumrah more lethal too.

And Avesh needs to be a backup for Prasidh for now. He gets good bounce too.

+1

FFS just pick the god damn players in the first place and groom them for international level.

Im tired of us giving average or old players opportunities. In fact, I would even sacrifice our wins in mindless bilateral series and not play spin so that we can play an extra fast bowler in the team in preparation for the world cup.

We dont need them to win games or even bowl well, we just need them to be constantly improving at international level.

I would pick 5 pace bowlers for the SL series and also play Sundar as a batsmen in the top 6. This is a two prong effect of getting Sundar more opportunities to bat and give more opportunities for our pace bowlers who are kids to bowl.

We have Umran Malik who can be 150 k+ regularly in T20s atleast. And he is sufficiently accurate too.

Bumrah's releases the ball well past the bowling crease, and  theteby his deliveries have the effect of deliveries around 6 kph quicker according to a Cricviz report. So,, Bumrah bowling 135 k to 147 k gives the effect of a 141 k to 153 k pacer like Umran.

He has got a great solid foundation in his lower body, physically speaking from what I just saw on youtube. This is good for his acceleration to the crease and landing. Which is where he is getting his speed from.

His upper body looks ok, I suspect if he puts on too much weight/musculature on the top he will lose that zip and speed. I think he could be more ripped on top, ie lose weight, but increase his musculature.

However, thats for a fitness specialist to make that assessment.

Like yourself I agree these guys should be national treasures. We dont have players that can bowl accurately at that speed in India. They need to be nurtured; skills training, nutrition, weights, sprints and rest should be their daily mantra.

Nobody has 150 k pacers who can bowl accurately without breaking down. No team does. 146 is the absolute max for odi. 142 for tests.

Mark wood starc and maybe nortje. All are injured quite often barring starc due to his beautiful mechanical action.

Bumrah's yorkers are usually in the 142 kph to 146 kph range in recent times ( was even quicker earlier, upto 150 k )

That is 88 mph to 91 mph range, say averaging around 89.5 mph.

While his other deliveries are more 84 mph to 89 mph or 135 k to 143 k these days.

Don't you think Bumrah has gone too floaty nowadays?  While his speeds are great the bounce/zip  he used to generate isn't there anymore.  His bumpers have completely lost the radar as well.

So? Wagner jammieson southee all trundle. Porel has steep bounce.

Wagner is a freak..  Unreal stamina.  I sometimes don't think he is even human lol.

Southee is probably best swing bowler in the world much much better than Anderson in fact.

Too much overuse in senseless mindless and irrelevant games that have no bearing.

India do not know how to preserve and best use pace bowlers.

Good bowling against a weak West Indies Lineup  which was defeated by Ireland, yes he bowled well but no need to start ogling so early.

good bowling is good bowling against any team..

It is clearly evident that...he is intl quality bowler and with proper grooming (&captain's support) can become lethal
